The known and appreciated Polish footballer and coach, Dariusz Dziekanowski, is involved in the Soccer Skills projekt supporting the idea of individual trainings of soccer young talents.

Dariusz Dziekanowski started his career as the player of Polonia Warszawa where he played in 1973-1979. In the first division he made a debut as the player of Gwardia Warszawa where he played in 1979-1983. As one of the most talented young footballers of the 80's in 1983 he landed up in Widzew Łód#. In colours of Łód# team he got the Cup of Poland in 1985.

The best period of his career is connected with the performances in the team of Legia Warszawa. In 1989 playing in the colours of Legia he got the Cup of Poland and in 1986 he gained the vice-championship of Poland. In 1988 with 20 goals he got a title of the top striker of the league.

In 1989 he moved to the Scottish team, Celtic F.C. He played there 48 league meetings and shot 10 goals. In 1992 he moved to English team, Bristol City, where he played till 1993. In the autumn round of the season of 1993-1994 he played 6 matches in the colours of Legia. Thanks to these a few performances in Legia he was on the list of Champions of Poland of the season of 1993-1994. In 1994 he was the player of German team, Alemannia Akwizgran and in 1994-1995 of FC Köln.

In spring 1996 he came back to Polonia Warszawa and helped to achieve promotion to the first division. In 1981-1990 he played 63 matches and scored 20 goals in Polish Representation.

In 1986 he participated in the world championships in Mexico. He achieved the biggest success as a junior: in 1980-1981 he got twice the title of vice-championship of Europe in the category till 18 years old. He was one of the best Polish and European footballers of 80's.

After finishing the soccer career he worked as the sport commentator on TV and in sport magazines. Since 2002 he worked in the Polish Football Association as the selector of juniors' representation. From 11th July 2006 till May 2007 he was the assistant of Leo Beenhakker in the senior representation.
